Axis in Petriashvili str.

This is one of the first houses of “Axis”, which by its architecture was an innovative project for Georgia of that time.  The finishing stone, metal blinds and roofing were used here for the first time, which even now add special tint to the building. At the same time we took into account components characteristic to Vere district, the building was finished by the same Georgian brick, as surrounding barrack type houses.

The architectural  merit of the building is visual separation of its volume in horizontal, as well as vertical direction. This solution provides a perception that there are two buildings instead of one.

And the visiting part of this project is  bent glass on the façade, whose technology did not exist in Georgia at that time and was made in Europe. It is still rare in Georgian architecture.
